Site

Again this sojourn,
And its levity: sun road leaves
Scattered like rice, footsteps
Of a silhouette:
Black and yellow checkered shoes.
A form’s passing
In the heat
With a sweaty back, wet kerchief,
Alone with a light to him amorphous
She like the sun, the road, the dust,
The rust in my brain from the last class,
Like any shoe, tree, or face

He remembers
The palmed lining
Of something soft, or dry,
Leaving
In, its wake, groping
Fingers, cold affected
Trails.
He views the face
There being, the way it is
Staring
Wrapping this site into a souvenir,
Losing in space
The incident of time and action.
