My first poem for year 2006. You may notice of the onomatopoeia I am using with the words here.
The murmuring of rascal doves,
And the paced parley of pesky parrots
Gave me that sign from above.
That nor life nor death be done on my tears,
That time, my eyes she wove
My thread, my long treading fears,
My life steady, and to prove
That tears are threads, not love of fools.
That the smiles of slithering snakes,
Nor the courteous calls of coping cockatoos
May be my demise yet again, and face
That yawping yells of yearning banshees.
ALAS! Time now ticked the thoughts
of this inexorable
And made fuddle the sheers rust.
But to rust,
the withered mem’ries of love be cut
through grins of gab by trust.
Oh cut the thread of life! Be stained!
My love is not love!
Oh cut me,
Be slain my tears, and fall like breezing rain.
