This what I came up with in the Speech Lab. when we were reading our sonnets. I was very anxious since very little time was left in the period and I was very afraid I couldn't read it to her in front of the class.
O maiden be, not one poem to read;
And anger is, but anger not be.
Impatient laughs and portent cries,
My beloved says, yet all are lies.
Permit me dear, for this one chance,
O maiden be, just one poem to read.
One poem to read, and to my abide,
Her eyes are closed, her eyes are none,
I say to thee to mean my word,
O dear, you see and hear my love,
To hear,
One heart to see.
‘Tis one poem to read.
